Cain, Ph.D., a graduate of Jackson State Univ. with a B.S.in biology received a Ph.D. in Anatomy at the Univ. of Mississippi Medical Center and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She joined The Univ. of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston faculty in 2017 as Associate Dean for Professional Development and Faculty Affairs, and as a Professor in the Dept. of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences. Her involvement in education spans 30 years. She is the recipient of teaching awards and honors, including the UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award (ROTA) and the Dr. Martin Luther King Service Award. She is a Marshall Goldsmith’s Certified Executive Leadership Coach and is an artist who incorporated her love for art into the educational arena.
